Cloud Native London June 2026: HAProxy Technologies and WSO2
Two speakers from HAProxy Technologies and WSO2 joined us at the June Cloud Native London meetup back at our lovely home base, the Just Eat office, as well as via the YouTube/LinkedIn livestreams.
We are immensely grateful to HAProxy Technologies, WSO2, Pulumi, and TechShack for their generous support and sponsorship.
Overview
Kicking off our evening was Mark Boddington from HAProxy Technologies discussing Universal Mesh: Connect and Secure Everything(starting at 13:52). His takeaways explained that:
- Enterprises typically evolve into complex, multi-cloud, multi-stack environments, which hinders service accessibility across teams and business units.
- While Service Mesh offers some benefits, deployment in complex environments is challenging and introduces hidden costs.
- A new solution is needed: a “Universal Mesh” approach that is simple to operate and scalable enough to unify all disparate environments.
And wrapping up our evening was Chaamini Mangaleswaran from WSO2 describing Building Abstractions That Matter: A Developer Platform on Kubernetes(starting at 45:45). She described how:
- The success of a platform is measured by developer adoption, not technical sophistication.
- The right abstraction reduces cognitive load without creating another layer of complexity.
- How OpenChoreo unifies best-in-class open-source tools into a cohesive developer platform — with built-in modularity, enterprise-grade scalability, and governance at its core.
And of course, our usual group photo!
